QCH Emergency Department Waiting Room Volunteer

The Queensway Carleton Hospital (QCH) is looking for 30 volunteers to support patients and families in the Emergency Department (ED) waiting room—helping ease stress, improve communication and allow the ED care team to stay focused on patient care. 

Volunteers will help answer quick questions, offer directions, and help visitors feel at ease by sharing helpful information about hospital services and what to expect. *Must be 18 years or older*

We're looking for volunteers who:

• Connect easily with people
• Thrive in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
• Can commit to one 4-hour shift each week.
