Job Purpose

As Project Manager, Events & Experiences at World Vision Canada, you'll bring to life extraordinary events and immersive experiences that inspire and connect diverse audiences, from donors to staff and partners. With creativity and precision, you’ll manage the end-to-end delivery of high-impact experiences, blending strategy, storytelling and operational excellence to drive engagement, amplify the brand and further organizational goals.

In this dynamic role, you'll act as a strategic partner and project lead, orchestrating everything from impactful signature events, immersive brand activations and international field trips. You’ll collaborate across teams, manage external vendors and ensure every detail reflects World Vision Canada’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Experience Design

Creates innovative, audience-centered experiences that align with brand and organizational strategy.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and execute events, field trips and brand activations that support World Vision Canada’s strategic priorities.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert, advising stakeholders on how events, experiences and brand activations can drive objectives, KPIs and revenue.
  • Designs engaging, brand-aligned experiences and activations that reflect World Vision Canada’s mission and inspire audience action.
  • Identifies and proposes new event formats, pilot initiatives and brand activation opportunities to grow the Events & Experiences portfolio.
  • Ensures all content, creative elements and activations meet brand standards and elevate audience engagement.
  • Researches industry trends and integrates best practices to enhance experiential impact and increase brand reach.
  • Recommends sponsorship opportunities for events tied to strategic activations and goals.
  • Contributes to the development of internal tools, templates and processes to improve team efficiency and brand consistency.

Project Management & Execution

Leads seamless delivery of events, experiences and activations from planning through to wrap reporting.

  • Oversees end-to-end project delivery in collaboration with internal teams, external partners and third-party vendors.
  • Develops and maintains detailed project plans, schedules, budgets and production timelines.
  • Manages all logistics for events, field trips and brand activations, ensuring strategic alignment and excellence in execution.
  • Executes seamless, well-orchestrated field trips that are logistically sound, emotionally impactful and enriched with immersive moments that deepen engagement and connection to the mission.
  • Troubleshoots real-time challenges and adapts quickly to maintain the integrity of the experience and the brand.
  • Tracks and manages contracts, SOWs, invoices, payments and vendor relationships in alignment with procurement policies.
  • Collects and analyzes post-event and activation data to assess performance, audience engagement and ROI.

Marketing, Content & Audience Engagement

Drives audience connection through compelling storytelling, communications and brand-aligned content.

  • Develops strategy and messaging for all event-related communications, including invites, registration, scripts, social media and web content.
  • Ensures consistent language and visuals across channels, aligned with World Vision Canada's brand and programming guidelines.
  • Leads the creative production and content development process in partnership with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Oversees the execution of on-site and digital brand activations that engage audiences and reinforce key messages.
  • Ensures each audience touchpoint is intentional, cohesive and rooted in mission-aligned storytelling.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing or Events Management desired
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in event planning, event production, event fundraising, experiential marketing and/or project management
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management with a proven track record of collaboration, negotiation and reciprocity
  • Highly skilled at networking and enhancing corporate and interpersonal relations
  • Demonstrated experience in event marketing & communications
  • Experience in relationship management with a proven track record of collaboration, negotiation, and reciprocity
  • Demonstrated ability in project management
  • Self-starter with demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, financial, administrative, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Customer-service orientation with demonstrated experience communicating with high-profile stakeholders
  • Demonstrated organizational, financial, problem solving, collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and with Agile principles and practices
  • Experience in corporate event fundraising an asset
  • Specialized experience in experiential marketing and/or brand activations an asset

Working Conditions

  • This position requires the ability to travel for business and the ability to work occasional weekends and evenings, as required.

This is a current vacancy that we are actively recruiting for. The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with Ontario’s pay transparency requirements under the Employment Standards Act.

Placement within the range will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The final offer will reflect the successful candidate’s background and demonstrated capabilities.
