Unpaid Volunteer Position

The Context: Right to Live is creating the missing viable alternative for poverty driven euthanasia in Canada. We are in the pre-pilot stage, and in need of fundraising to support core operations and R&D. As such, we are building a remote, performance-driven business development department which will cultivate corporate and philanthropic donors. This may include, but is not limited to, corporations, private businesses, foundations, slush funds, high net worth individuals, cultural / sports figures, religious or cultural organizations or groups. This project is to establish the basic infrastructure needed for such a department, such as an asset library for communication and training, a basic phone / email / CRM, standard operating procedures and department role descriptions.

The Role: We are recruiting a volunteer project manager to. You will report to the executive director and manage the build team.

Your Mandate: You will own the development of a basic ‘business development’ setup, including materials, tools and training assets.

  • Project Management: Create a detailed project plan, work outlines and basic schedule, and manage their execution.
  • Team Oversight: Vet incoming volunteer specialists with the Executive and manage the recruited team.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet expectations for quality and brand alignment by working with the executive director.

The Deliverables: Upon completion of the cycle, you will transfer ownership of a ready-to-deploy package containing:

  1. The Asset Library: Professional-grade B2B email and phone scripts, pitch decks, one-pagers, Q&A, objection-handling guide, compensation protocols and training materials.
  2. The System: A fully configured Google Sheets based CRM with sample prospects, a Fongo based phoneline setup guide and a Google Workspace Gmail based setup guide.
  3. The Standard Operating Procedure: A documented workflow ready for the incoming Business Development Team.
  4. The Roles: Refined job descriptions for the BD agents, managers and department head, ready to post.

Operational Culture:

  • Professional Autonomy: We are a remote based office based on trust and self management. You are expected to manage your own timeline and deliver results without daily supervision.
  • Reliability: We are addressing a nation-class issue of very high importance and this is a key role in this vital project. We ask that prospective candidates give serious commitment to the project and see it through to completion once they’ve signed on and begun work.
  • Consistency: We value the correct result delivered at the right pace.
