Youth Now on Track Services- Is looking for a Project Coordinator to lead in achieving the goals and objectives of the Youth Overcoming Mental Health Stigma Through Sustainable Employment program. This is a part-time position with flexibility of having to work sometimes towards the evening hours or attending week-end meetings.

Youth Now on Track Services is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Project Coordinator to lead the delivery of the Youth Overcoming Mental Health Stigma Through Sustainable Employment Program and support the coordination of other youth and family-centered programs offered by the organization. Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, liaising with program partners and coordinating the program ensuring all programming aligns with the developmental needs of participants and the overall goals of YNOT.
Type of position:This is a part-time position with flexibility of having to work sometimes towards the evening hours or attending week-end meetings.
Schedule:
- 2 Days/week -7hrs/day (Flexible)
Position Title: Project Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit youth, ages 15-24, who are committed to overcoming mental health stigma through employment skills training and certification. Student candidates should be from Glenfield-Jane Heights, and Black Creek neighbourhoods.
- Principal recruiter – who seeks out and registers the students
- Outreach activities to ensure the community is fully aware of the program and engaged
- Conduct intake and assessment of new participants with appropriate tools
- Coordinate the program ensuring all participants are present and fully engaged throughout the program.
- Provide reports and information needed by funders and management
- Coordinate and work with all partners to ensure they all execute their roles as stated in the agreement
- Monitor activities of the program to ensure it fulfils all requirements of the funding
- Work closely with Consultant to ensure the program meets the targets and goals
- Monitor and assess the progress of individual participants utilizing a client-centered approach
- Ensure confidentiality of each participant situation is not compromised
- Reports directly to the Program Manager.
- Amongst other related activities required for the success of the program
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Counseling/ relevant experience in Social Service or related field from an accredited program
- Minimum 1 year experience as project coordinator or relevant position
- Knowledge of project management and development procedures
- Experience working in Jane and Finch neighbourhood
- Experience with trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and accountability-oriented approaches
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
- Knowledge of various socio-economic issues impacting youth
- At least one year of recent experience in mental health interventions
- Experience supporting individuals affected or exposed to crime related activities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge on reporting and program evaluation using appropriate tools
- Proven work experience in crisis supports and ability to mediate conflict
- Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams
- Knowledge and experience working with the Black Community especially youth
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
- Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office/internet
- Able to manage many conflicting priorities simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize
- Current Police and Vulnerable Sector Check must be provided
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR certification
