Job Title: Project & Community Engagement Lead
Job Summary
The Project & Community Engagement Lead manages the day-to-day operations of the Spectrum Advantage Employability Skills Initiative while supporting employment and internship opportunities for autistic professionals and post-secondary students. This role includes project coordination, community and employer engagement, building partnerships, supervising interns, conducting presentations, and serving as the primary contact for program inquiries. The ideal candidate thrives on collaboration, communication, and creating inclusive opportunities in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program.
- Ensure objectives are met on time and within budget, maintaining reports, timelines, and documentation.
Employment & Internship Development
- Supervise the Community Engagement Specialist and post-secondary students completing autism-focused internships.
- Identify and engage new businesses to expand internship and employment opportunities.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, educational institutions, and industry organizations.
- Represent the program at networking events, workshops, and conferences.
- Collaborate with the Education and Client Services Manager to align participant support with program goals.
Community Engagement & Outreach
- Conduct presentations to promote the program and advance neuro-inclusive employment.
- Coordinate new presentation opportunities with businesses and organizations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries, providing guidance and referrals.
Data Collection & Reporting
- Track and analyze participant outcomes to measure program effectiveness.
- Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting program impact and results.
- Support continuous improvement through feedback and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in employment services, project management, or related fields.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of employment trends, workforce development, and neurodivergence.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in data analysis and report writing is a plus.
Work Environment:
This a hybrid position with occasional travel to employer sites, meetings, and events.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to conduct presentations and facilitate meetings, which may involve standing or sitting for extended periods.
Compensation: $32-$34.80 hourly wage commensurate with experience and education.
Begins: To be determined, 37.5 hours a week
