Overview
The Project Administration Officer will work primarily with DWDC’s Support and Education team on meaningful initiatives related to end-of-life choice. The incumbent will support the organizations’ Education and Support programs, handling email inquiries, providing compassionate and professional customer service to those accessing DWDC’s education and patient support initiatives and providing administrative support to the program department. They will assist with the planning, coordination and preparation of online educational programs, such as webinars, including set up and management of hosting platforms. The incumbent will be provided opportunities to engage in mentorship activities with Senior staff members in other departments of interest.
Anticipated start date: June 22, 2026
Duration of contract: 8 weeks, full-time
Hourly wage: $20
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists with the planning and preparation of online educational programs, such as webinars, including set up and management of hosting platforms
- Liaise with stakeholders and partners of the organization, compile data, and assist with the creation of reports
- Handles email inquiries by collecting relevant information and redirecting to the appropriate support staff, as needed
- Provides superior customer support and communicates effectively and professionally with the team, external stakeholders, and clients
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with team members to meet deadlines
- Assists Program Coordinator with patient support related document mailings (Advance Care Planning kits, MAID request forms, etc.) as needed
Qualifications
- Passion for supporting the end-of-life rights of people across Canada, while considering cultural differences and diverse perspectives on end-of-life care
- Current University or College student or recent graduate
- Comfortable with the topic of death, end-of-life conversations, and supporting a community focused on these topics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational/follow up skills
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks appropriately and effectively
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise discretion when necessary
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an open team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with web-based meeting platforms an asset
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM databases an asset
