PROGRAM

Launched in 2004, Easter Seals Canada’s award-winning Access 2 Card program (www.access2card.ca) helps make entertainment, cultural and recreational opportunities more affordable by providing 2-for-1 admission cards for participating venues to individuals with disabilities who require the assistance of a support person.

With over 20,000 Access 2 Card holders, and over 800 participating entertainment venue locations across Canada, the Access 2 Card program is the national leader in ensuring cultural, recreational, and entertainment activities are accessible to all Canadians.

POSITION

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, Easter Seals Canada is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the daily operations and administrative functions of the Access 2 Card program while managing a small team of program coordinators. In this role, you will ensure the daily, weekly, and longer-term program objectives are completed smoothly and on time. This role requires the ability to multi-task, focused attention to detail, and superior leadership, interpersonal and time-management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Planning and Delivery

  • Overseeing daily operations of the Access 2 Card program.
  • Coordinating the scheduling and assignment of the team.
  • Overseeing team recruitment, training, and evaluation.
  • Creating new marketing initiatives to support program awareness and growth.
  • Providing direction and support to ensure program and organizational goals are met.
  • Managing customer concerns with professionalism and resolving issues to satisfaction.
  • Accurately tracking program supplies & equipment maintenance. Liaise with external contractors and vendors for supplies and services.

Program Reporting

  • Tracking program performance.
  • Monitoring program impact and outcomes.
  • Documenting impact stories from program members.
  • Ensuring accurate program records are maintained on the Microsoft Access Database, Raisin, and relevant Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

Community and Venue Outreach

  • Liaising with applicants who have disabilities, their caregivers, or various health care professionals to provide information about the Access 2 Card.
  • Identifying and onboarding new vendor partners nationwide.
  • Nurturing partnerships with vendors, community organizations, and health care professionals.
  • Developing engaging content for social media platforms that align with the Easter Seals Canada brand and accessibility best practices.
  • Sending monthly e-mail campaigns and newsletters to program participants via Campaign Monitor.

Other

  • As a member of the leadership team, participating in the development and implementation of Easter Seals Canada’s initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Reporting and working closely with the Director of Finance concerning basic accounting records, managing NSF cheques, and refunds.
  • Other ad-hoc initiatives and requests from the President & CEO and senior management that contribute to the overall strategic direction of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education: Post-secondary degree in non-profit management, business administration, communications, disability studies, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in program management or coordination, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience supervising staff or volunteers, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Program & Project Management: Proven ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate programs, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Customer Service & Conflict Resolution: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to address sensitive situations and resolve complaints with professionalism and empathy.
  • Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Experience liaising with diverse stakeholders, including persons with disabilities, caregivers, vendors, community organizations, and venue partners.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), databases (e.g., Raisin or similar CRM), and email marketing platforms (e.g., Campaign Monitor).
  • Communications & Marketing: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience developing social media content and outreach materials in alignment with brand and accessibility best practices.
  • Financial Administration: Familiarity with basic accounting processes such as managing payments, NSF cheques, and refunds.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of accessibility, disability issues, and inclusive practices within a Canadian context.
  • Assets:
  • English-French bilingualism.
  • Certification in project management (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).
  • Training in accessibility standards (e.g., AODA, Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification).
  • Additional training in customer service, conflict resolution, or non-profit leadership.

START DATE: October 27, 2025

WORK LOCATION: 40 Holly Street, Toronto (Yonge & Eglinton area). Please note that this is a fully onsite role with no remote or hybrid option.

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
