About Young Bosses in Business Foundation (YBIB)

YBIB is a youth-focused Canadian charity supporting entrepreneurship, leadership, and real-world skill-building for young people. We deliver programs and opportunities that help youth build confidence, practical experience, and future-ready skills through mentorship, community partnerships, and hands-on learning.

Placement Overview (In-Person (Tuesdays)

The Program Classroom Assistant supports in-person session delivery by helping with youth engagement (ages 6–10 and 11–14), materials, and smooth session flow. This role is best suited for students who want hands-on experience supporting youth programming.
Reports to: Director of Education & Programming

Schedule & Location

  • Tuesdays, 5:00–7:00 PM
  • Sheridan Davis Campus (Brampton)
  • Additional support may be requested for special events (e.g., Youth Market) and remote admin tasks when needed

What You’ll Work On

1) Classroom Setup & Flow

  • Support classroom setup and cleanup (materials, seating, supplies)
  • Help program staff keep sessions running smoothly (transitions, timing support)

2) Youth Support During Activities

  • Assist youth during activities (encourage participation, support small groups)
  • Help maintain a positive, respectful group environment

3) Attendance & Session Support

  • Support attendance/check-ins and basic session support tasks as assigned
  • Communicate quick updates and needs during sessions via WhatsApp

4) Youth Market Support (Culminating Event)

  • Support youth vendors during the Youth Market, including setup support, check-ins, and general assistance as assigned

  • Sessions run smoothly with reliable setup, transitions, and support
  • Youth feel supported and engaged during activities
  • Attendance/check-ins are completed accurately
  • Strong, dependable support during Youth Market logistics

Ideal Candidate

  • High school or post-secondary students looking to gain experience or complete community service/placement hours
  • Reliable, professional, respectful, and comfortable supporting youth in a group setting
  • Comfortable communicating via WhatsApp for quick updates and coordination
  • Willing to follow instructions, policies, and confidentiality expectations
