Pro Bono Graphic Designer - Help Us Bring Our 2026 Direct Mail Appeal to Life
The Centennial Infant and Child Centre Foundation (CICCF) is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to volunteer their professional expertise to design our upcoming 2026 Direct Mail Appeal.
This is an opportunity to use your creative skills to help a charitable organization connect with donors and raise support for children with developmental disabilities and their families.
About the Project
We are looking for a designer to create a polished and engaging design for a standard letter-size direct mail package, including:
- Two sheets, printed double-sided — four designed sides/pages in total
- Standard letter size: 8.5 × 11 inches
- Design for the accompanying envelope
We will provide everything you need, including:
- Final written content
- Photographs
- Brand guidelines
- Logos and visual assets
We're looking for someone who can transform these materials into a compelling fundraising piece that is visually engaging, easy to read, and consistent with our brand. While we will provide the content, photography, and brand direction, we welcome your creative ideas and suggestions for the overall look, layout, and visual approach. We want to give you the freedom to bring your expertise and perspective to the project and help shape a design that effectively communicates our message.
Technical Requirements
The selected designer will provide:
- A print-ready PDF with appropriate bleeds and safe margins, prepared for professional printing
- The editable/source design files (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, or equivalent)
- Print-ready artwork for the accompanying envelope
CICCF will submit the final files to our printer. The designer should also be available in early October to make any minor technical revisions that may be requested by the printer.
We’re Looking For
- An experienced Graphic Designer with professional print design experience
- Experience designing direct mail, fundraising appeals, brochures, newsletters, or similar print materials
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and print production
- Experience preparing print-ready files and working with printer specifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Someone who values collaboration and wants to use their creative skills to support a meaningful cause
Please note: We are seeking an experienced professional for this opportunity and are not accepting student applications at this time.
Timeline
- Application deadline: September 14, 2026
- Designer selected: By September 18, 2026
- CICCF sharing materials with designer: By September 22, 2026
- Final design and source files required: By September 30, 2026

Recognition
As a thank you for your generosity, the designer may be recognized on CICCF’s social media channels, if they wish.
We will also provide a formal letter of appreciation and permission to feature the completed work in your professional portfolio.
