President & Chief Executive Officer
Location: Toronto, ON
The National Diabetes Trust (NDT) is at a defining moment in its evolution. As one of Canada’s largest charitable clothing and household goods collection organizations, NDT plays a critical dual role, driving sustainable funding for Diabetes Canada while delivering meaningful environmental impact through large-scale textile diversion. With a national footprint, over 400 employees, and more than 100 million pounds of goods diverted from landfills annually, NDT is poised for its next chapter of transformation and growth.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational performance of the organization. The President & CEO will guide NDT through a pivotal period of transformation, evolving its business model, strengthening and diversifying revenue streams, and enhancing commercial discipline across a complex national logistics platform. This leader will balance mission and margin, ensuring the organization continues to serve as a vital funding engine for Diabetes Canada while positioning NDT for long-term sustainability and impact.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of leading complex, multi-site organizations through growth and change. They bring strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience driving operational performance in logistics, supply chain, or similarly operationally intensive environments. A strategic and forward-looking leader, they are adept at navigating stakeholder-rich environments, building trusted relationships with Boards and partners, and leading high-performing, geographically dispersed teams. An engaging and transparent communicator, the successful candidate will inspire followership, foster accountability, and lead cultural evolution with credibility and purpose.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a nationally recognized organization at an inflection point. The successful candidate will have the chance to reshape and modernize a well-established enterprise, unlocking new revenue opportunities while strengthening its mission-driven impact. With a strong foundation, national scale, and a critical mandate tied to improving health outcomes for millions of Canadians, NDT offers a compelling platform for a leader motivated by both purpose and performance.
