President & Chief Executive Officer
A proven innovator in youth development and educational equity, Pathways to Education is one of Canada’s most respected charitable organizations. By supporting students in low-income communities with a unique combination of academic, social, financial, and mentorship supports, Pathways works to combat systemic barriers to graduation and create pathways to lifelong success.
Pathways is seeking its next President & Chief Executive Officer to guide and evolve the organization’s ability to help young people in Canada thrive through education.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO is the organization’s chief strategist, advocate, and operational leader. The CEO is responsible for leading the implementation of the organization’s strategy, helping refine and evolve it over time, safeguarding Pathways’ financial health and ability to deliver measurable and meaningful impact. The CEO prioritizes staff development, diversity, and ongoing growth, nurturing a psychologically safe culture and environment for a national team and network of 300. Working in close partnership with delivery partners, funders, governments, and communities across the country, the CEO builds strong ecosystems of support that expand the reach and effectiveness of Pathways’ programs. They also champion donor cultivation and fundraising efforts, and pursue opportunities to innovate, strengthen performance, and deepen the organization’s sustainability and resilience at a time of shifting student needs, growing demand, and resource constraints.
