Policy Coordinator (Full-Time)
The Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLCTA) is seeking a Policy Coordinator as part of it dynamic Policy & Communications team.
As a Policy Coordinator, you will be a key player in supporting the policy team by managing administrative support, coordinating meetings and meeting materials, supporting the coordination and management of policy projects, ensuring their successful execution and delivery.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong project management skills, and is a great opportunity, especially for anyone looking to start a policy career.
As part of the OLTCA policy team, the Policy Coordinator will report to the VP, Policy and Communications.
This role is full-time permanent, remote with in-person meetings as required.

The Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA), representing 70 percent of Ontario’s long-term care homes, is seeking a Director of Strategic Communications.
OLTCA is a member-driven organization, representing small, medium and large, private, not-for-profit, municipal, hospital, culturally-specific, and First Nations homes in rural, urban and Northern locations across the province. Our diverse membership provides a unified platform for the changes we need to transform the system for Ontario’s long-term care residents.
OLTCA maintains a robust public policy capacity and an active presence in discussions within legislatures and government agencies about the future of long-term care in Ontario.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities of the Policy Coordinator will include:
- Administrative Support
- Maintain and organize policy documents, files, and databases.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
- Assist in the preparation and formatting of policy briefs, reports, and other documents.
- Handle correspondence and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead meeting materials coordination to ensure timely delivery
- Project Coordination:
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of policy-related projects.
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure timely completion.
- Assist in the coordination of events, workshops, and conferences related to policy initiatives.
- Prepare project status reports and updates for the policy team
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of project activities and outcomes.
- Policy Monitoring and Support
- Support the policy advisor in monitoring and track policy and legislative developments
- Support the development of policy materials and lead meeting and briefing material coordination
- Communications, and members’ support
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to policy projects.
- Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.
Other duties as assigned.

- Project Management and Coordination:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven experience in project management and coordination.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- You have strong oral and written communication skills
- You have the ability to support multiple team members and ensure cross team communication and project information sharing.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- You are proactive and resourceful at problem-solving.
- Education:
- You have an undergraduate degree.
- Project management designation is an asset.
