About the role

Walk organizers have wonderful interpersonal skills and participate in a dynamic planning process to create a successful fundraising event, scheduled for Sunday May 31, 2026.

Roles include:

• Promotion and publicity.
• Participant and team recruitment.
• Sponsorship recruitment. Entertainment
• coordination.
• Volunteer recruitment and coordination.
• Registration and finance management.
• Venue management.

We are looking for committee members who are organized, able to meet deadlines, are familiar with Microsoft Office and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Timeline:

• This committee is active from November 2025 to June 12, 2026.
• Monthly committee meetings
• Weekly tasking (2 hours per week in April, 3-5 hours per week in May)
• Please note: You will joining an active committee that is the final 2 months of preparation. The Chair is seeking additional support!
