Breakthrough T1D is adding to our development team and we’re searching for an experienced professional for the role of Philanthropy Coordinator.
If you’re an organized, proactive and relationship-oriented professional who would like to provide key support to major gift campaigns across the country and ensure exceptional donor experiences, please read on to see if this is the right fit for you.
Here’s what your primary responsibilities would be:
· Provide accurate, responsive and professional administrative and strategic fundraising support to the fundraising team
· Proactively schedule and coordinate donor meetings for the President and CEO and Chief Development Officer
· Prepare accurate, clear and complete meeting materials, including briefing notes and presentations
· Ensure effective prospect coordination by partnering with relationship managers and senior leadership for select major gift prospects and donors, documenting strategies and actions to be completed
· Coordinate key Campaign Volunteers and Cabinet meetings, including sending meeting invitations, preparing agendas, drafting minutes, and providing supporting documentation
· Track and support activity for top Campaign prospects, in collaboration with the National Director, Leadership Giving Operations
· Proactively input and track constituent moves actions and updates in CRM to ensure donor and prospect information is accurate and up to date
· Coordinate and organize donor and cultivation events
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
· Post-Secondary education in a related field and 3–5 years previous related administrative support experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
· Experience providing administrative support with executive level leadership teams
· Experience working with a CRM (Clearview, Raiser’s Edge, etc.)
· Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Working Style
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interact with all levels of staff and volunteers while projecting an energetic, friendly, ‘can-do’ attitude
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills with diligent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work efficiently
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow-through to effectively manage work flow and continuously improve the efficiency
· Must be able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment under minimal supervision and handle confidential/highly sensitive information
Other position requirements to note:
· Some flexibility of hours required. Evening and weekend work to support donor meetings and events (5–10%)
· Bilingual in French and English would be an asset
· Some exposure to the philanthropic or non-profit sector would be an asset
Salary Range: this role is anticipated to be $55,000 - $60,000, commensurate with skills and experience level of the selected candidate.
