Are you passionate about promoting literacy among children and youth? We are looking for facilitators to deliver our Write It Workshops for children aged 8-14 years at Brampton Public Libraries at:

- Date: Saturday, October 17 and 24, 2026
- Time: 10:30am-11:30am
What does Ripple Foundation do?
Ripple Foundation is a Canadian educational charity that is 100% volunteer-run. Ripple Foundation creates community programs for youth that improve reading and writing skills while promoting the power of creativity. One of the programs is the Write It Workshops. As a workshop facilitator, your role and responsibility are to:
- Deliver the Write It Workshop Series to children aged 8-14 years.
- Work with other volunteers during the delivery of the workshop.
- Attend an online training session with other volunteers.
- Collect feedback and comments from participants to be used for social media sharing.
- Provide feedback to the workshop manager.
What we're looking for:
- A Vulnerable Sector Check is required from the local police.
- Excellent communication skills that are effective with children.
- Engaging and positive interactions with children that maintain their attention.
- Patience working with students of diverse backgrounds and levels of understanding.
- Interpersonal skills to interact with organization co-ordinators and other peers.
- Teaching experience is an asset.

Volunteer Commitment: You will be required to attend an online training to learn the workshop materials. You’ll need to arrive half an hour before the start of the workshop to set up and meet the other volunteers you’ll be working with.
