Role Purpose The Partnerships & Outreach Coordinator will help build a network of aligned organizations who can use the Climate Stories Map (https://climatestories.palce, https://crc.place/climate-stories-map/) with their communities, classrooms, or members. This role is critical for expanding the platform's reach and impact by connecting with climate groups, educational institutions, youth organizations, and community networks that can benefit from and contribute to our Canadian climate storytelling platform. You will identify potential partners, build authentic relationships, and understand how the Climate Stories Map can serve diverse communities and use cases.

Key Responsibilities

Build strategic partnerships to expand the Climate Stories Map's reach and impact:

• Partner Identification: Research and identify 10–15 relevant organizations aligned with our mission, including climate groups, youth organizations, teachers' networks, environmental nonprofits, and community organizations

• Personalized Outreach: Customize short, authentic outreach messages that feel personal and aligned to each organization's mission and work

• Email Campaigns: Send targeted emails to warm contacts and partner organizations, following up politely and professionally

• Response Management: Log all outreach activities and responses in a simple tracking system (spreadsheet or CRM)

• Discovery Conversations: Coordinate and sometimes join 1:1 discovery or research calls with interested organizations to understand their needs

• Needs Documentation: Keep detailed notes on what each organization needs and how they might want to use the Climate Stories Map platform

Additional responsibilities include:

• Develop outreach templates and messaging that can be customized for different partner types

• Identify key decision-makers and warm introduction pathways within target organizations

• Share insights from partner conversations with the project team to inform platform development

• Support follow-up communications and relationship nurturing with engaged partners
• Track partnership milestones and celebrate wins with the team
• Contribute to partnership strategy based on what you're learning from outreach

Required Qualifications

• Comfortable reaching out to people by email and following up politely and professionally

• Clear written communication skills with a professional but warm, authentic tone
• Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage basic tracking (simple

spreadsheet or CRM)
• Enjoys building relationships and listening actively to what people and organizations

need
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while staying connected to the team
• Alignment with CRC's mission and passion for climate action and community

empowerment

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience with partnerships, fundraising, campus clubs, or community outreach
• Existing connections in climate, education, storytelling, or community organizations
• Comfortable on video calls and asking discovery questions to understand partner

needs
• Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Airtable, Salesforce) or project management

platforms
• Background in climate education, environmental advocacy, or nonprofit sector
• Experience with email marketing or outreach campaigns
• Understanding of community-based participatory approaches

Key Deliverables & Success Metrics

• Curated list of 10–15 high-potential partner organizations with research and contact information

• Customized outreach emails sent to all identified partners with professional follow-up
• Organized tracking system documenting all outreach activities, responses, and next

steps
• 3–5 meaningful discovery conversations completed with interested organizations
• Detailed notes capturing partner needs, use cases, and potential collaboration

opportunities
• Insights report sharing learnings from outreach to inform platform strategy and future

partnerships
