Part-Time Web Administrator
We are a busy, volunteer-driven non-profit organization based in Maple Ridge, seeking a part-time volunteer Web Administrator to support our existing digital infrastructure — primarily Google Workspace and a simple Google Sites website.
About the Role
This is a low-demand but high-trust position requiring attention to detail, responsiveness, and patience. Most work can be done remotely on a flexible schedule, but occasional in-person presence is appreciated (not required). The operations centre has no Wi-Fi and limited cell coverage, so all technical tasks will be handled off-site.
Our digital systems are already up and running. We use Google Workspace to manage a high volume of email traffic, and Google Sites as our website platform. Other volunteers handle social media independently and will rarely need your assistance.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and manage email addresses and groups
Monitor and troubleshoot email routing and forwarding
Support volunteers with access to email and Google Workspace tools
Maintain domain registration (renew annually)
Make occasional edits to the Google Sites website
Create new pages on Google Sites as needed (rare)
Manage Google Drive folders, file permissions, and organization
What We're Looking For
Comfortable working with Google Workspace and Google Sites
Patient, responsive, and able to assist users with a wide range of technical comfort levels
Respectful of the existing system — this is not a redesign project
Discreet and professional with volunteer and organizational information
Reliable and self-directed with good communication skills and activity reporting
What We're Not Looking For
No need for SEO, web design, or site analytics
No need to migrate to WordPress or other platforms
No social media management
No email campaigns
No expectation of on-site IT support
Support & Onboarding
You’ll be trained and supported by our current administrator(s), who will help you get up to speed on the organization’s systems and processes.
