Donald Moore Community Services Inc. is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to support our community-based programs serving seniors and other underserved populations. As a Black-led charitable organization, we work to reduce barriers, strengthen community connections, and improve access to culturally responsive programs and services.

As a nonprofit dedicated to empowering racialized communities, our work includes initiatives that promote digital literacy, community safety, and equitable access to resources through culturally responsive programs, community development, and advocacy. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about building relationships, reducing isolation, and strengthening community participation.

🔹 About the Role

This is a frontline engagement role focused on building trust with seniors, increasing program participation, and strengthening community connection through consistent outreach. The role is primarily phone-based, connecting with seniors, understanding their needs, and guiding them into appropriate programs and services.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

Outreach & Engagement

• Conduct daily outbound calls to seniors in the community
• Introduce programs and explain benefits clearly
• Build rapport and maintain respectful conversations
• Track outreach activity and outcomes

Program Enrollment

• Guide seniors through registration and onboarding
• Follow up on leads and prior participants
• Identify and remove participation barriers
• Maintain a pipeline from contact to attendance

Relationship Management

• Maintain ongoing contact with participants

• Act as a consistent point of contact
• Gather feedback and share insights

Community Presence

• Support outreach events and sessions
• Collaborate with partners and caregivers
• Represent the organization professionally

Reporting & Accountability

• Maintain call logs and follow-up schedules
• Provide weekly summaries of outreach activity
• Flag trends and opportunities

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Daily outbound calls completed
• Contact-to-conversation ratio
• Conversion rate to enrollment
• Attendance rates
• Retention and repeat engagement

🔹 Who We’re Looking For

Required

• Experience in outreach, call-based roles, or community engagement
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Comfort with high-volume calling
• Organized and disciplined
• Empathy and patience with seniors

Preferred

• Experience working with seniors or vulnerable populations
• Familiarity with Black community organizations
• Basic CRM proficiency
• Multilingual ability is an asset

Presence, consistency, ownership, cultural awareness, problem-solving

🔹 Commitment

This is a casual volunteer contract position (May 2026 – March 2027) based in the Hamilton/GTA region. The role is primarily phone-based with some in-person outreach and community engagement activities and light administrative work. A flexible schedule is required based on program needs.
