About Empowered Futures
Empowered Futures (EF) is a Canadian non-profit dedicated to empowering emerging adults as they navigate the transition into adulthood. Through mentorship, self-empowerment workshops, and accessible resources, EF helps young people build confidence, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and hope for their future. With a strong focus on mental wellness and community building, EF creates meaningful connections between youth, mentors, and partners, ensuring that the next generation is equipped with the tools and support they need to thrive personally and professionally.

Responsibilities:
1. Create outreach materials: Write emails, letters, proposals, and presentations to communicate with sponsors, donors, and community partners.

2. Reach out to potential partners: Contact new sponsors, mentors, and partners through calls, emails, and follow-ups to build relationships.

3. Support messaging: Help develop messages for sponsors and donors that match EF’s brand and campaigns.

4. Research opportunities: Find and keep track of potential sponsors, partnerships, and community collaborations.

5. Collaborate with the team: Work with colleagues like the Partnerships & Development Associate and Applications & Grants Specialist to make sure outreach aligns with fundraising goals.

6. Track activities: Record outreach efforts and update the Director of Partnerships & Engagement and the Engagement Lead.

7.Represent EF professionally: Be a positive and professional face of EF when interacting with external stakeholders.

8. Participate in meetings: Attend weekly Outreach & Partnerships team meetings and EF-wide town halls to stay aligned and informed.

Qualification and Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in outreach, fundraising, partnership development, sales, or communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong written communication skills with experience drafting outreach or marketing materials.
- Experience with community engagement.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple outreach initiatives at once.
- Previous experience in fundraising, donor relations, partnerships, or sales is an asset.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a remote, volunteer-based team.
- Passion for youth empowerment, mentorship, and community building.

This is a part-time and unpaid volunteer position (8-10 hours a week)
