Location: Fully Remote (Work from home anywhere in Ontario)
Salary Range: Competitive, based on experience, with a strong benefits package and generous paid time off
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM, plus flexibility to complete up to 2 additional hours per day
Expected Hours: 35 hours per week

About Good Learning Anywhere (GLA)
Good Learning Anywhere (GLA) is an online adult learning program that helps people across Ontario build skills, gain confidence, and move forward in life and work.

Position Overview
This is a fully remote position where you will support adult learners across Ontario.
Your primary role is mentoring - helping learners stay on track, build confidence, and reach their goals. You will also support online instruction and contribute to curriculum development.
Given that many of our learners are from Indigenous communities, this role requires a high level of cultural awareness, respect, and the ability to provide support in a way that is inclusive and responsive to diverse backgrounds.

Primary Responsibilities: Mentoring
- Contact new learners within 2 business days
- Conduct ongoing assessments and track progress
- Develop and maintain learner plans in a confidential manner
- Provide clear, timely responses to learner questions
- Offer encouragement, feedback, and support throughout the learner journey
- Enroll learners into appropriate courses
- Refer learners to Employment Ontario and community services when needed
- Maintain accurate case notes and records in the Student Information System (SIS)
Secondary Responsibilities: Instruction & Curriculum
- Deliver online instruction in Literacy and Essential Skills
- Prepare and facilitate online lessons, activities, and assessments
- Provide feedback on assignments and learner progress
- Create a positive and engaging online learning environment
- Support live classes using platforms such as BigBlueButton, Zoom, and Moodle
- Log in early to ensure sessions run smoothly and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Track attendance and issue certificates
- Contribute to curriculum development and content improvements
- Share learner feedback to help strengthen programming
Program Evaluation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Use digital systems (SIS/CRM) to track learner progress and outcomes
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Strong digital skills and ability to troubleshoot basic tech issues
- Experience with Google Workspace, email, and online platforms
- Reliable high-speed internet and home office setup
Assets (Strongly Preferred):
- Experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations, or learners
- Understanding of Indigenous cultures, perspectives, and approaches to learning
- Ability to build trust and relationships in culturally respectful and meaningful ways
- Experience working with adult learners or in literacy programs
- Experience with online/distance education
- Familiarity with platforms such as ESCASES, BigBlueButton, Zoom, Moodle, or D2L
- Post-secondary education in a related field
