OAND Board Director Application

About OAND

For more than 75 years, the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) has stood at the forefront of advancing the naturopathic profession in Ontario. Today, our work is guided by four strategic commitments: Advocate for the Profession, Enhance Visibility & Understanding, Evolve the Association, and Sustain the Profession.

We bring these commitments to life through three core pillars: Membership, Education & Policy; Government Relations & Advocacy; and Events & Community. Through strong advocacy and system partnerships, we champion modernization and integration within Ontario’s healthcare system. Through policy leadership and professional development, we strengthen standards and elevate public confidence. And through meaningful connection and shared purpose, we cultivate a vibrant, resilient professional community.

Together, we are building a modern, sustainable association — ensuring Naturopathic Doctors are recognized, empowered, and positioned to serve Ontarians now and into the future.

Process for Applications

Individuals interested in serving as an OAND Board Director must submit an online application, which includes completion of the eligibility and application form and submission of all required documentation.

Applicants will be asked to provide a Statement of Interest addressing the following:

All applications will be reviewed for completeness and eligibility in accordance with OAND’s Nominations and Elections Policy.

Eligible applicants will be interviewed virtually. Interviews are anticipated to take place between April 6–20, 2026.

Candidates selected for nomination by the Board will be presented for election at the next OAND Annual Meeting. Candidates who are not recommended for nomination will be advised of the reasons for the Board’s decision and will have the option to appear on the ballot as a self-nominated candidate, in accordance with OAND policy.

If you require assistance or have questions regarding the role and responsibilities of a Board Director, please contact the OAND office at info@oand.org.

Equity, diversity and Accessibility

The Board welcomes applications from all eligible candidates and especially encourages applications from Indigenous Peoples, racialized persons, persons living with disabilities, and members of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

OAND is committed to providing accommodations in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Please advise us if you require accommodation.
