Nursery Attendant

Position: Nursery Attendant

St. John’s, Norway Anglican Church

Purpose: To provide a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment for our youngest members (ages 1–4) during Sunday morning services. The Nursery Attendant ensures that parents can participate fully in worship with peace of mind, knowing their children are experiencing the love of Christ through attentive care and play.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Care/Supervision: Provide a warm, welcoming environment for toddlers. Engage children in age-appropriate play, reading, and activities.

Organizing the Nursery Space: Tidy the nursery space, sanitize toys regularly, notify children’s minister of needed supplies or repairs

Requirements:

A heart for ministry: A love for active children and a desire to serve in a flourishing church community with a vibrant children's ministry

Communication skills: Ability to partner warmly with parents and work closely and proactively with children’s minister

Vulnerable Sector Screening

ECE an asset, not required

Reports to children’s minister

Parking available, TTC accessible via Woodbine station

Time Commitment: 4 hrs/wk, Sunday mornings

Compensation: $25/hr
