Salary Range $56,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year

JOB SUMMARY
The National Outreach Specialist is responsible for establishing, nurturing and maintaining key relationships that increase the use of and engagement in Rick Hansen Foundation School Program (RHFSP) offerings including. resources, ambassador presentations, webinars, educator professional development amongst K-12 youth and educators. The Specialist also solicits market feedback and leads special projects.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The National Outreach Specialist, RHFSP reports to the Manager, RHFSP and works closely with the RHFSP team, internal Foundation colleagues and external parties.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Outreach Strategy and Implementation
- Prepares and implements an RHFSP outreach strategy to meet targets for the use of and engagement in RHFSP offerings;
- Develops strategic relationships to increase the number of youth who use RHFSP offerings. Target markets include, but are not limited to: School Districts, Administrators, Educators, Indigenous partners, parent advisory groups, regional libraries, recreation centres/camps, sporting organizations, and youth leadership and resource organizations;
- Identifies and pursues opportunities to promote the use of RHFSP offerings, including partnerships, professional development, speaking engagements, conferences and events
Market Research & Projects
- Maintains mechanisms for market feedback to validate and evolve RHFSP offerings with the support of the Lead, Data, Evaluation & Impact;
- Plans and implements research (e.g., focus groups, interviews and surveys);
- Works with the Resource Specialist to make recommendations for program evolution based on data and research findings;
- Works with the Resource Specialist to pilot and launch new RHFSP offerings;
- Supports the RHFSP Manager to establish committees to ensure current and relevant content, increase the adoption of RHFSP, and support youth leadership in accessibility; and
- Leads and/or contributes to special projects, as required.
Information Management & Reporting
- Reports on relationships, impact and results of outreach strategy and activities with the support of the Lead, Data, Evaluation & Impact. Includes:
- Nurturing and tracking key relationships and contacts using RHF’s Salesforce CRM system;
- Reporting on KPIs to reach targets;
- Contributing to the reporting systems in reporting to RHF and RHFSP funders; and
- Identifying and collecting impact stories and testimonials from satisfied client educators, youth and champions of the program.
- Performs other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviours will be considered.
Education: University degree qualifications and experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification/Designations: None.
Experience/Knowledge:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience with program outreach, engagement and relationship management;
- Experience preparing and implementing nationwide outreach strategies;
- Experience in developing and nurturing strategic relationships and partnerships to meet outreach goals;
- Experience in coordinating and conducting engaging presentations;
- Experience in planning and executing research, analyzing results, and making recommendations to optimize program offerings;
- Experience in developing and managing external partnerships;
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Copilot an asset. Experience with Salesforce and/or other CRM database an asset;
- Fluency in French, oral and written, is an asset;
- Non-profit experience an asset; and
- Awareness and sensitivity of issues relating to issues affecting people with disabilities and/or youth an asset.
