Breakthrough T1D is growing our Event Fundraising team and we’re searching for an experienced professional for the role of National Coordinator, Event Fundraising.

If you’re an organized, detail-oriented, fundraising professional who would like to support event fundraising programs across the country, please read on to see if this is the right fit for you.

Here’s what your primary responsibilities would be:

  • Support the overall coordination of the Event Fundraising programs, including providing effective internal communications and support to staff.
  • Work collaboratively with Breakthrough T1D Regional Teams and other National Support Office (NSO) Teams to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as the first point of contact internally for the Breakthrough T1D Regional Teams, providing prompt, professional, trusted, and exceptional service.
  • Assist with the creation of fundraising tools and resources for internal and external audiences aimed to aid in direct supporter engagement and fundraising support for Signature Events and Fundraise Your Way programs.
  • Coordinate incentive, prizing, and contests programs, including fundraising rewards, executing contest rules and regulations, necessary legal documentation, and managing the deployment of all prizes, incentives, and contests.
  • Lead the development and execution of Day of Event documentation and support with data management and post-event wrap-up.
  • Support with the development of websites for Signature Events, Fundraise Your Way and independent ticketed events.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience in an event or program coordination role
  • Experience working with a CRM and fundraising platforms
  • High attention to detail
  • Creative thinker

Working Style

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment and proven ability to communicate professionally at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work within a tight timeline, with competing priorities and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self-starter, always looking for ways to help the efficiency and organization of the team

Other position requirements to note:

  • Bilingual in French and English an asset
  • Provide in-person support on Event Day(s) within local area

Salary Range: Anticipated to be $55,000 to $60,000 annually, commensurate with skills and experience level of the selected candidate.

Location Preference: Anywhere within Canada.
