Position Overview

Samawada is seeking a motivated and technology-focused Mobile Developer to help design, develop, test, and improve mobile applications that support humanitarian programs, organizational operations, donor engagement, transparency, volunteer coordination, and digital services.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about mobile application development, software engineering, humanitarian technology, digital products, open-source technology, AI, and social impact.

The successful candidate will work closely with technology, UI/UX, programs, operations, communications, fundraising, data, and leadership teams to translate organizational requirements into reliable, accessible, secure, and user-friendly mobile applications.

What You Will Do

Mobile Application Development

Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for Samawada's digital initiatives.

Build clean, reliable, scalable, and maintainable mobile applications.

Translate product requirements and UI/UX designs into functional mobile experiences.

Develop application features for Android, iOS, or cross-platform environments.

Implement responsive mobile interfaces that work across different screen sizes and devices.

Develop reusable components and application modules.

Write clean, well-structured, documented, and maintainable code.

Participate in the full mobile application development lifecycle from planning and development through testing and deployment.

Android & iOS Development

Contribute to Android and/or iOS applications depending on project requirements and technical expertise.

Work with technologies such as:

Support the development of cross-platform applications where appropriate.

Build reusable application components that can operate across Android and iOS.

Help establish development standards for cross-platform applications.

Work with UI/UX designers to ensure designs are practical and consistent across platforms.

Mobile UI Implementation

Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement approved designs.

Translate wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs into functional mobile interfaces.

Develop offline-first or offline-capable functionality where appropriate.
