Member Services Coordinator

We have an opportunity for a dynamic and resourceful individual who can provide front-line service for our organization and support the work of our local teams. Much more than just member support, this role is key to optimizing our members’ experience in the organization and to resolving operational challenges. Your enthusiasm is only overshadowed by your ability to get the job done.

We are the Professional Association of Residents of Ontario, the official representative voice for all medical doctors training in the province. PARO seeks to protect and improve the rights, interests and well-being of our members. PARO also strives to promote an optimal work and educational environment, thereby fostering excellence in patient care.

Working as part of a PARO staff team that assists our members in bringing our strategic plan to life, your ability to juggle competing priorities comes as second nature to you.

You love working with people and get satisfaction when you help others be successful. You have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal and can seamlessly blend a fun approach to work with a professional demeanor. You adapt to the job at hand and can independently take charge of general administrative duties efficiently and tackle more involved projects as part of a larger team.

You have excellent organizational and time management skills and are detail oriented. You bring added value by being able to synthesize information to help those around you find solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Two - four years in an office environment, preferably at a professional association.
  • College Diploma or University Degree in health/social services, education, government relations or office administration preferable, or combination of education and professional experience.
  • Excellent and professional interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excel in working as a member of a team and independently to meet deadlines.
  • Able to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload
  • A keen desire to learn.
  • Comfortable providing support to others and creating and working toward collective goals; able to accept direction.
  • Excellent computer skills including presentation preparation and database management.

Location: PARO currently offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, with employees working from home the majority of the time. There are regular meetings in our downtown Toronto office.
