The Canadian Snowbird Association is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and team-oriented individual to fill the position of Member Services Coordinator.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, the key responsibilities of this position include:
- Answering the English call centre telephone line and responding to member inquiries.
- Providing information regarding association membership benefits and services to members and the public.
- Making referrals by transferring calls or providing contact information for benefit and service providers regarding information requests or complaints.
- Assisting with membership renewal campaigns as requested by the Manager, Member Services.
- Processing secure online applications and entering member information into the internal database.
- Receiving and processing cheques returned by members due to non-sufficient funds.
- Assisting with the processing, maintenance, and updating of membership files and records.
- Coordinating and maintaining the association’s board and volunteer database.
- Maintaining all aspects of enrolment in the currency exchange program, including data entry, verification, updates, and participant transfers.
- Assisting with research, fact-finding assignments, and special projects as required.
- Supporting members at CSA shows and events, which may include occasional travel within Canada and the United States.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Administrative or clerical experience within a membership-based organization or experience in a call centre environment.
- Proven ability to effectively multitask in a high-volume environment, manage calls, documentation, and processing of memberships and member benefits.
- Knowledge of Canadian health care and travel-related issues in particular as it relates to retirees (50+) and seniors who winter in the U.S. would be considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and social media outlets.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Fluency in both official languages (English and French) would be considered an asset.
Additional Information
This position may require occasional travel within Canada and the United States to attend association events and shows.
