Medical Team Volunteer

The medical team works at the VOKRA Operations Centre (Ops) overseeing & providing medical treatment to cats/kittens upon initial arrival at VOKRA & to those in residence at Ops.

Shifts:

10am-12pm (AM shift)

4pm-6pm (PM shift)

Duties:

Medical shifts consist of the following duties. Are you comfortable with:

• Perform medical rounds at the beginning of every shift;
• Monitoring for abnormalities in eating/drinking/eliminating/energy and fear, anxiety, stress
• Administer medications as prescribed by DVM
• Ideally, medical team members should be able to do sub-q fluids (for dehydrated cats), take temperatures, cut nails and not queasy around blood or injuries.
• Follow PPE protocols and ensure disease control measures are being upheld
• Ability and willingness to adapt to changing protocols and ensure best practice
• Handle stray or feral cats
