Marketing & Narrative Manager
About LandSeed
LandSeed is a non-profit organization tackling the Canadian housing crisis with a unique, data-powered approach. We bridge critical gaps in the housing ecosystem by integrating deep community market data with advanced AI systems. Our focus is on crowdsourcing and identifying obstacles to attainable affordable housing, allowing us to deliver structured, scalable solutions where they are needed most.
Our Commitment: We are driven to uplift those in housing ownership need, including first-time homebuyers, seniors, immigrants, single parents, environmentalists, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Our vision is to pioneer data-driven designs and value structures for entry-level housing across Canada.
Job description
LandSeed is seeking a senior marketing and narrative professional to help shape how our work is understood, communicated, and trusted—externally and internally. This role is designed for someone in a later stage of their career — near retirement, semi-retired, or post–full-time leadership — who still wants to contribute strategically, apply their experience with care, and work on initiatives with real social impact.
This is not a campaign-execution role. It is about clarity, positioning, and narrative stewardship across housing, community development, and applied technology.
Our Working Context
You will be working alongside a small group of experienced executives who have chosen to focus their time and expertise on purpose-driven work—valuing impact, thoughtfulness, and long-term systems change over growth at all costs.

Narrative & Positioning

- Ensure consistency across materials (website, decks, updates, partnerships)
- Help translate complex ideas into clear, human language
Strategic Marketing Guidance
- Advise on marketing priorities aligned with organizational goals
- Guide content strategy without owning day-to-day production
- Help evaluate what not to do as much as what to do

- Work with leadership to align messaging across fundraising, partnerships, and community work
- Support clarity for stakeholders, funders, and collaborators

- 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand strategy.
- Experience with mission-driven or complex systems work
- Later-career professionals seeking flexible, meaningful contribution
- Strong judgment around narrative, tone, and trust
What You’ll Gain
- Senior-level influence without full-time pressure
- Ownership over narrative and positioning
- Work that values depth, integrity, and long-term impact
