About Young Bosses in Business Foundation (YBIB)
YBIB is a youth-focused Canadian charity supporting entrepreneurship, leadership, and
real-world skill-building for young people. We deliver programs and opportunities that help
youth build confidence, practical experience, and future-ready skills through mentorship,
community partnerships, and hands-on learning.
Placement Overview (Hybrid)
The Marketing Intern supports YBIB’s visibility through youth-friendly storytelling, promotion
coordination, and content support. You’ll work closely with our communications team to help

• Support weekly campaign planning (program recruitment, Youth Market promotion, volunteer/student recruitment, event promotion) and turn priorities into clear action
steps
• Track weekly results at a high level (what went out + basic performance notes) and suggest improvements for the following week
2) Email Marketing Support (Mailchimp)
• Draft and assemble email campaign content for Mailchimp (subject lines, short copy, calls-to-action, basic layout support) in collaboration with the Communications Intern
3) Community Outreach & Promotion Support
• Share approved posts/flyers to relevant groups, schools, and community networks
• Maintain a simple outreach tracker (where/when shared + responses)
• Support partner/vendor promotion coordination (collect spotlights,
handles, product photos, short descriptions; keep everything organized for the
Comms/Content team)
4) Engagement & Audience Growth Ideas
• Propose weekly engagement ideas (polls, Q&As, youth spotlights, community shoutouts) and collaborate with Communications to publish
5) Asset Organization
• Organize and upload marketing assets (flyers, copy drafts, outreach lists, vendor info) to Google Drive with clear labels and tidy folders
Event Days (As Scheduled / Seasonal) – Optional
When events are running, you may also support on-the-ground activation and live engagement:
• Lead event activation elements such as the YBIB t-shirt sale booth and/or photo booth (setup, signage, customer engagement, sales tracking support, teardown)
• Support live engagement for YBIB Live (guest prompts, audience interaction ideas, on-the-ground updates, capturing key moments)
• Help with event-day flow by welcoming guests, supporting youth vendors, and encouraging participation in interactive stations
