Time Commitment: 6 hours per week

We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing & Growth Associate to join our team and help amplify our voice, engage our community, and attract new members to our dynamic space.

Role Overview:

As a Marketing & Growth Associate, you will play a key role in supporting and developing the HiVE’s marketing and business development efforts as we look to welcome new members into our space. The role provides opportunities to get involved in various aspects of business development, including market research, sales strategies, partnerships, and communications efforts. Additionally, this role provides direct access to the board of directors through regular meetings, with the opportunity to collaborate closely with them on strategic initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills to contribute to a meaningful organization, grow your work experience portfolio, and connect with a diverse and inspiring community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Doing market research, networking, and identifying potential clients and partners.
• Develop and implement sales strategies: This might include creating sales plans and setting targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams: Working with the HiVE manager and other departments to achieve business goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends: Staying informed about competitor activities, market changes, and emerging technologies.
• Conduct market research: Analyzing market data, identifying target markets, and assessing competitive landscapes.
• Present business plans to stakeholders: Communicating strategic goals, outlining plans, and securing buy-in from the board, staff, members, and/or desk bees.
• Enhance member experience: reach out to nearby businesses to build out our membership perks.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Build rapport with current and potential clients and effectively communicate complex information.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills: Analyze market data, identify opportunities, and develop effective strategies.
• Negotiation and persuasion skills: Negotiate contracts and persuade clients to adopt new solutions.
• Sales and business development experience: A proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and building client relationships.
• Understanding of relevant industries: Knowledge of social impact organizations, coworking spaces, and/or other relevant markets.
