Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator, Social Media supports the daily operations, content publishing, and active community management across the brand's social channels. This tactical role focuses on executing the editorial calendar, drafting engaging copy, assembling light-lift media assets, and maintaining consistent audience interaction to build brand awareness and support marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Content Publishing & Scheduling

  • Support the President in maintaining and executing the social media content calendar under the guidance of the Marketing Manager.
  • Format, schedule, and publish weekly posts across channels including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube using social management tools.
  • Find or create light-lift social media creative assets including graphic templates to be used across platforms.

Community Management & Moderation

  • Engage with potential partner brands, influencers, and relevant community threads to expand channel reach.

Content Creation & Support

  • Support the President in writing concise, engaging copy adhering to established brand voice and tone guidelines.

Reporting & Administration

  • Track and pull key performance metrics (reach, impressions, engagement rates, click-throughs) for monthly reports.
  • Organize and maintain the team's digital asset library, including creative files, copy banks, and asset rights.
  • Monitor emerging social trends, and audio activity to pitch fresh ideas during team brainstorming sessions.

Qualifications

  • Graduated or enrolled in a University degree or College diploma or certificate program in Communications, Marketing or Social Media
  • Have 1-2 years of experience in marketing (this does not have to be a job, it can include what you work on in your free time)
  • Strong knowledge of using LinkedIn, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to keep on top of workload
  • Able to commit to one year with the organization
  • Sound computer skills including operating Google Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills
