Board of Directors: Marketing & Communications Lead
Organization: Bros Before Lows
Location: Brampton / GTA (Remote)
Position Type: Volunteer Board Member

About Bros Before Lows:
Bros Before Lows exists to provide men with safe, supportive spaces to share openly, build lasting brotherhood, and access real tools for growth. We uniquely blend artistic expression with mental health advocacy to transform stigma into strength. Our mission is to ensure no man feels alone in his darkest moments.

The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic Marketing & Communications Lead to join our Board of Directors. As we scale toward our $100K and $1M milestones, you will be the architect of our brand’s voice and the strategist behind our awareness campaigns.
This is a governance and strategy role, not just a "doing" role. You will help the founder and volunteer team prioritize high-impact initiatives and build a sustainable "data spine" for our outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Oversight: Develop and oversee a 12-month marketing roadmap focusing on social media, community events, and civic partnerships.
  • Brand Stewardship: Ensure all communications remain consistent with our core values of Compassion, Authenticity, Resonance, and Brotherhood.
  • Conversion Strategy: Guide the team in turning "awareness into action"—optimizing digital touchpoints to drive donations, Patreon sign-ups, and event attendance.
  • Partnership Support: Assist in creating high-leverage decks for corporate sponsors (e.g., Steel Works) and political stakeholders.
  • Performance Tracking: Help establish and monitor key KPIs for social engagement and referral pipelines.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or Brand Management (Non-profit experience is a plus).
  • A deep connection to men’s mental health advocacy and the "Hero’s Journey".
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing stacks (e.g., HubSpot, social media analytics, and donor management tools).
  • Ability to commit 5–10 hours per month for board meetings and strategic consultation.

Why Join Us?
You will be at the ground floor of a movement that is saving lives in the GTA and beyond. By lending your expertise, you help us move from "brokenness to rebirth," building a future where vulnerability is celebrated as strength.
