ORGANIZATION

Based in Toronto, Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits is a Canadian charity, 100% volunteer-led that provides management consulting to improve organizational capacity and community impact for non-profits that otherwise cannot afford professional consulting.

Endeavour has two consulting engagement rounds during the year, in the fall and in the spring. For each round, Endeavour will recruit and match teams of skilled volunteers with non-profit organizations in need
of pro bono consulting.

Since 2007, Endeavour has engaged more than 1000 volunteers on over 134 projects, delivering more
than $8 million in pro bono consulting to local, national and international non-profits based in Canada. Endeavour’s partnerships with leading corporations in Canada offer pro bono and skills-based volunteering opportunities that contribute to employee engagement, professional and leadership development, talent retention and corporate responsibility goals.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about connecting people and building strong, engaged communities? Endeavour is looking for a volunteer Manager, Talent to join our Talent team!
In this role, you will lead volunteer recruitment and onboarding efforts, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize the volunteer experience and ensure alignment with organizational goals. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who enjoys both people engagement and process optimization, and who is looking to make a tangible impact in the non-profit sector.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Volunteer recruitment & coordination
● Lead and enhance the volunteer recruitment process, including advertising, application intake, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
● Collaborate with internal teams to understand talent needs and ensure timely placement of volunteers.
● Prepare and update the consulting recruitment processes bi-annually
● Screen applications and conduct interviews as an active member of the Recruitment Committee.
● Co-manage the team’s coordinator to ensure alignment with team and program expectations.

Volunteer management & engagement
● Design and implement systems to track volunteer participation, performance, and engagement
metrics.
● Support volunteer engagement and retention initiatives to strengthen long-term involvement.
● Attend Endeavour events to connect with current and past volunteers and promote new volunteer
opportunities.

Systems optimization & reporting
● Create and maintain documentation, workflows, and resource materials to support volunteer operations.
● Provide regular updates and reports to Talent leadership on recruitment efforts, volunteer metrics, and system improvements.
● Support change management initiatives such as platform migrations or implementation of new tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
● Excellent leadership, teamwork, communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
● Ability to manage and promptly respond to daily email communications
● Great organizational and time management skills
● Proven stakeholder engagement experience
● Demonstrated experience leading projects or initiatives, including planning, coordination, and delivery
● Self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented mindset
● Minimum two year commitment

Preferred:
● Previous Endeavour volunteer experience
● Experience working with HR systems or volunteer recruitment and retention is an asset
