About Evergreen
Evergreen Hospice is a community-based hospice providing compassionate support to individuals and families navigating serious illness, caregiving, and grief. Through counselling, volunteer programs, and community-based supports, Evergreen creates space for people to feel seen, supported, and connected.
As Evergreen continues to grow, including the development of a residential hospice, strengthening fundraising, partnerships, and community engagement is a key priority.
The Opportunity
The Manager, Development & Partnerships supports the coordination and implementation of Evergreen’s fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and community partnerships.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for supporting fundraising campaigns, coordinating events, and maintaining donor relationships. The role works closely with the Director of Operations to strengthen Evergreen’s funding capacity and community presence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising Coordination & Campaign Support
- Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, including annual appeals and community initiatives
- Assist in identifying and tracking funding opportunities, including grants and sponsorships
- Support preparation of grant applications and related materials in collaboration with leadership
- Maintain organization and tracking of fundraising activities and timelines
2. Events & Community Fundraising
- Plan, coordinate, and support execution of fundraising events, including logistics, promotion, and follow-up
- Work with staff, volunteers, and partners to support successful event delivery
- Support development of event-based fundraising initiatives
- Assist in tracking event outcomes and participation
3. Donor Stewardship & Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with donors through ongoing communication and engagement
- Support donor recognition and stewardship activities, including acknowledgements and communications
- Assist in maintaining and growing Evergreen’s donor base
- Ensure timely and consistent follow-up with donors
4. Partnerships & Community Engagement
- Support development and coordination of community and corporate partnerships
- Represent Evergreen at community events and meetings as appropriate
- Maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders
- Support initiatives that strengthen Evergreen’s presence in the community
5. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain and update donor database with accurate and timely information
- Track fundraising activities, donor engagement, and campaign performance
- Support preparation of reports for leadership and board
- Ensure consistency and organization of fundraising records
6. Collaboration & Communications Support
- Work with leadership to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities
- Support development of fundraising materials, including newsletters and outreach content
- Assist with communications related to fundraising campaigns and events

Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, events, or related field
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Attention to detail, particularly in tracking and data management
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with donor management systems is an asset
- Flexibility to support occasional evenings and weekends for events
