As the Manager of Controllership Services, you will be the most senior team member in the newly separated Controllership Services branch. You will build and lead a skilled team responsible for the end-to-end financial health of the organization across treasury, cash management, and fiscal policy.

About the job
In this role, you will:
· Build and lead a team of finance professionals responsible for supporting the end-to-end financial health of the organization, including accounts payable, receivable, treasury & cash management, and bookkeeping.
· Partnering with the Director of Organization Business Services and the Vice President of Governance to provide end-to-end leadership coverage for the Shared Services Division, including cross-functional coverage where appropriate.
· Lead and complete the monthly close-out process, including bank reconciliation, payables, receivables, and bank deposits.
· Oversee and champion improvements, efficiencies, and increased controls to the finance and cash management processes in collaboration with the Corporate Policy Team.

• Strong financial management and analytical skills to: provide comprehensive analyses and advice on financial controllership policies and procedures; to review reports on major issues, analyze and identify anomalies, and to determine whether business objectives are met; to provide practical financial advice to business unit managers regarding promotions, new product business opportunities, budgets, and controls.
• Demonstrated ability working with activity-based costing, management reporting, performance analysis, statistical and financial analysis, quantitative techniques, and budgetary planning processes and procurement practices.
Computer Skills:
You have:
• Advanced knowledge and demonstrated skill to work with various database accounting & productivity software, including MS Excel, to access data, prepare reports, spreadsheets, and financial statements, etc.
Communication, Collaboration & Relationship Building
Bring strong communication and collaboration skills to convey complex ideas and build productive relationships.
• Ability to explain technical and analytical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences;
• Experience navigating diverse stakeholder environments and resolving complex data issues with clarity and diplomacy;
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, municipalities, and external stakeholders.
