Greenwood is seeking a dedicated and collaborative team member to join our Business Office as the Manager, Business Office beginning in September 2025.

The Manager, Business Office is responsible for managing accounts payable and purchasing, billing management, and general accounting functions ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency. The Manager, Business Office will supervise and mentor the Coordinator, Business Office and Administrative Assistant, Business Office fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Provide assistance to the Associate Director, Business Office as required.

Reports To: Associate Director, Business Office

Specific Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Purchasing

  • Manage accounts payable process
  • Manage all school purchases and distribution
  • Manage and distribute petty cash floats

Billing Management

  • Manage billing management process and related collections

General Accounting

  • Provide monthly GL reports to budget managers
  • Prepare and manage budgets for Out-of-Town Excursions, Special Events and Athletic Tournaments
  • Prepare and provide annual audit requirements

Administrative

  • Arranging for permits and related insurance certificates

School Store

  • Manage the School Store

Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years related experience, ideally in a charity or not-for-profit organization
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, both with own team and across teams
  • Leadership and team management abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Action-oriented
