Drive growth. Build momentum. Help shape the future of fundraising.

Humber River Health Foundation is entering a pivotal and exciting stage of growth – with bold ambitions, a clear vision, and a team ready to make a meaningful impact.

Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, we are seeking a high-performing Manager, Annual Fund to play a central role in building and scaling a modern, results-driven annual fund program.

This is an opportunity to step into a role with real ownership – where your ideas, instincts, and execution will directly shape revenue growth, donor engagement, and the future trajectory of the Foundation.

About the Role & Working Style:

As Manager, Annual Fund, you will lead a dynamic portfolio of direct response fundraising programs, with clear accountability for revenue performance, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.

You’ll take the lead on key programs—including A Star is Born, Gift of Gratitude, Staff Fundraising, and Tribute Giving—while working with agency partners to deliver high-performing, integrated campaigns.

This is a role for someone who wants to build, grow, and make things better – not just maintain the status quo.

You’ll operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where ideas are encouraged, performance is valued, and results matter.

What You’ll Do

  • Own annual fund revenue targets and play a key role in driving year-over-year growth
  • Lead and evolve integrated direct response campaigns, anchored in strong direct mail campaigns, enhanced through digital channels
  • Strengthen and scale core annual fund programs to increase participation, revenue, and impact
  • Develop strategies to grow and engage donor audiences, including acquisition, retention, and reactivation
  • Lead audience segmentation and targeting to deliver more personalized, effective campaigns
  • Drive lead generation efforts to expand the Foundation’s donor base and future pipeline
  • Partner with agency experts to develop strategy, creative, and execution — pushing for strong performance and continuous improvement
  • Leverage digital channels as a powerful extension of direct response, to enhance reach and results
  • Apply data, testing, and performance insights to optimize campaigns and improve ROI
  • Explore and apply AI-enabled and innovative approaches to strengthen targeting, personalization, and performance

Who You Are:

  • A driven and results-oriented annual fund or direct response professional who thrives in a growth environment
  • Proven in delivering strong results through direct response campaigns, particularly direct mail
  • Analytical and curious, with a strong instinct for what drives performance
  • Comfortable owning outcomes, making decisions, and pushing for better results
  • Experienced in managing agencies and working collaboratively to deliver high-quality work
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with confidence
  • Energized by the opportunity to build, improve, and make a visible impact
  • Interested in how digital tools and emerging technologies can enhance fundraising performance

Why Humber River Health Foundation

  • Be part of a growing, ambitious Foundation ready to make a strong and lasting impact
  • Join a team that is building momentum and committed to achieving new levels of success
  • Help shape a modern, high-performing annual fund program
  • Work in a culture that values initiative, innovation, and accountability
  • Support one of Canada’s most forward-thinking and innovative hospitals
  • Enjoy a hybrid work environment (3 days in office / 2 days remote)

If you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership, drive growth, and be part of a team that’s building something meaningful – we’d love to hear from you.
