York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a LEGO Science Program Teaching Assistant—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves socializing.

The LEGO Science Program Teaching Assistant is responsible for:

  • First point of contact for visitors; greet and answer any questions/inquiries
  • Collaborating with other volunteers and staff to ensure a smooth flow of activities
  • Responsible for capturing key moments during the event - for purposes of promotion, social media, and post-event reports
  • Assist in set up and clean up of activities; consistent number count of YRES property
  • Providing feedback on the event
  • Arriving to the event independently
