Come join us for fun filled weekends where children build functional LEGO robots and code their movements and actions using colourful drag-and-drop code blocks. A unique experience where computer code comes to life through dancing robots, moving cars, music players, and more! They will also complete LEGO Arts and Science activities.

Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES) is a registered non-profit organization committed to providing free and affordable educational services to the Vancouver Region and beyond. VRES provides online and in-person educational services for learners of all ages, including K-12, adults, and seniors.

The Weekend Lego STEAM Camp Volunteer is responsible for:

  • Greeting and directing attendees upon arrival
  • Supervising participants during activities, transitions, and break times
  • Preparing and organizing materials for activities and tracking inventory
  • Facilitating indoor and outdoor educational games and workshops
  • Encouraging campers participation and fostering an inclusive, positive atmosphere
  • Supporting staff with inventory organization and site cleanliness
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers throughout the program

Volunteers can the select days they would like to participate

Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

QUALIFICATIONS-
Who We're Looking For:

  • Minimum age: 14 years or up
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to independently commute to and arrive at the event location on time (Need help getting here? Travel costs maybe reimbursed upon request)
  • Interest in LEGO Robotics, art, and science, and helping children learn through play.
  • Previous experience (volunteer or paid) working with children under 12 preferred.
  • Comfortable assisting with a variety of hands-on tasks, from art supplies to LEGO builds.
  • Ability to follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure environment.
