Job Title: Lead, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Posi-on Type: Contract, 18 months Loca-on: Office is based in Toronto (hybrid or virtual schedule) Salary: $70,000-$75,000 Benefits 6% in lieu of vacaIon, and $1,500 in lieu of benefits Reports To: ExecuIve Director, Ontario AIDS Network (OAN)
Posi-on Overview We are seeking an innovaIve and strategic Lead of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) to spearhead our EDI iniIaIves internally at OAN and for our network members for the next year. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implemenIng, and advancing EDI strategies and programs, including projects related to the greater involvement and meaningful engagement of people living with HIV/AIDS. This posiIon will work closely with leadership, staff, and external working groups to embed EDI principles across the OAN’s culture, policies, programs, and services. Key Responsibili-es
• Lead the creaIon and implementaIon of a comprehensive EDI strategy that aligns with
the OAN’s mission and values.
• Support the delivery of projects focused on strengthening the involvement and
engagement of people living with HIV/AIDS across the network, ensuring their voices are
central to in all aspects of decision-making processes (from development to
implementaIon)
• Facilitate and lead working groups such as, ReconciliaIon in AcIon and AnI-Black
Racism
• Develop and facilitate educaIonal programs, workshops, and iniIaIves on anI-racism,
cultural competency, and inclusive pracIces for staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.
• Review and revise organizaIonal policies and procedures to eliminate barriers and
promote equitable access to opportuniIes and services
• Act as a key liaison between the organizaIon and network members, fostering strong
relaIonships with individuals and groups from various backgrounds
• Establish metrics for assessing the impact of EDI iniIaIves and prepare regular reports
on progress to the senior leadership team and board of directors
• Promote inclusive policies and pracIces both within the organizaIon and externally,
posiIoning the organizaIon as a leader in EDI within the HIV/AIDS sector.
Qualifica-ons
• Proven experience (2 years) in leading EDI iniIaIves within non-profit, community, or
health-related organizaIons.

• Deep understanding of and commitment to issues of equity, diversity, inclusion, anI-
oppression, and anI-racism.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with people living with HIV/AIDS, with an
understanding of the unique challenges they face.
• Strong facilitaIon, presentaIon, and interpersonal communicaIon skills, with the ability
to engage diverse audiences.
• Experience in program development, policy development and organizaIonal change
management.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive decisions and measure progress in EDI.
• Strong collaboraIve spirit, with experience building and sustaining relaIonships with
diverse communiIes and partners.
Preferred Qualifica-ons
• Lived experience with HIV or close community Ies to people living with HIV/AIDS.
• Experience in the HIV/AIDS sector, health care, or community services.
