Do you enjoy photography and capturing meaningful moments? Join us as a Kidney Walk Volunteer Photographer and help tell the story of one of Canada's largest community fundraising events supporting people affected by kidney disease.
Whether you're looking to gain event experience, build your photography portfolio, meet new people, or give back to your community, we'd love to have you on our team!
The Kidney Foundation of Canada is a national volunteer organization committed to reducing the burden of kidney disease through funding innovative research, providing education and support, promoting access to quality healthcare, and increasing public awareness and commitment to advancing kidney health and organ donation.
Event Details
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteer photographers to capture the energy and spirit of the 2026 Kidney Walk. With seven walk events taking place across the Greater Toronto Area, you are welcome to volunteer at one or multiple locations, depending on your availability.
- Simcoe Kidney Walk
- Date: September 13, 2026 (Sun)

2. York Region Kidney Walk
- Date: September 19, 2026 (Sat)
- Time: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Location: Richmond Green Park (1300 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill ON L4S 1M5)
3. Brampton Kidney Walk
- Date: September 27, 2026 (Sun)
- Time: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Location: Chinguacousy Park (225 Central Park Dr, Brampton, ON L6S 6H1)
4. Durham Kidney Walk
- Date: September 27, 2026 (Sun)
- Time: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Location: Heydenshore Kiwanis Pavilion #1 (589 Water Street, Whitby)
5. Halton Kidney Walk
- Date: September 27, 2026 (Sun)
- Time: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

6. Mississauga Kidney Walk
- Date: October 4, 2026 (Sun)
- Time: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

7. Toronto Kidney Walk
- Date: October 3, 2026 (Sat)
- Time: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Location: Etienne Brule Park (10 Catherine Ave, Toronto, ON M6S)
Volunteer Responsibilities
As a Kidney Walk Volunteer Photographer, you will:
- Capture high-quality photos throughout the event, including participants, kidney patients, families, volunteers, sponsors, and healthcare professionals.
- Photograph candid moments, team interactions, opening ceremonies, and other memorable highlights.
- Submit your digital photos to The Kidney Foundation following the event for use in social media, event highlights, newsletters, and future promotional materials.
- Help showcase the impact and community spirit of the Kidney Walk through your photography.
Volunteer Requirements
We're looking for volunteers who:
- Have photography experience (professional, student, or hobbyist).
- Have access to and can bring their own digital camera and equipment.
- Enjoy interacting with people and capturing authentic moments.
- Are comfortable working outdoors and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Are dependable, friendly, and comfortable working with people of all ages and abilities.

Training & Support
All volunteers will receive event information before the walk, including meeting location and volunteer assignments. On-site orientation and support will be provided by Kidney Foundation staff.
