The Museum acts as a global learning hub, playing a unique and pivotal role in building connections between people and communities locally, nationally, and internationally.
Purpose of Position
The Aga Khan Museum’s Summer Camps offer an engaging, creative, and enriching environment for children ages 6 to 12. As a Junior Summer Camp Volunteer, you will support experienced Museum Educators and camp staff in delivering hands-on activities inspired by art, history, and storytelling.
This is a rewarding opportunity to develop leadership skills, gain experience working with children, and contribute to a dynamic cultural environment.
Location: Aga Khan Museum, Toronto
Shift Time: 8:30 am–4:30 pm
Age Requirement: 15–18 years
Commitment: Minimum of one full week (Monday–Friday) during the summer camp period
Compensation: Unpaid (Volunteer Role)
Summer camp period: July 6–August 14, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Educators in facilitating arts-based and interactive activities.
- Support campers in creative projects, games, and group discussions.
- Help with setup, cleanup, and organization of materials.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants.
- Act as a role model by demonstrating enthusiasm, responsibility, and creativity.
- Provide basic supervision during snack breaks and transitions.
- Collaborate with staff and fellow volunteers to create a supportive and fun camp experience.

Qualifications & Experience
- Currently enrolled in high school
- Enthusiastic, responsible, and interested in working with children
- Passion for the arts, storytelling, and/or history
- Ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and committed to scheduled shifts
- Expressed interest in the mandate of the Museum.
