Eden Food for Change is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors as volunteer board members. As a registered charity dedicated to reducing food insecurity, we deliver impactful food programs, build community connections and advocate for a more equitable food system.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome both experienced professionals and emerging leaders who are motivated to contribute to a purpose-driven organization.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: operations, fundraising strategy or donor engagement, financial oversight/accounting, or legal (nonprofit, governance, or compliance).

We also strongly value:

• Lived experience related to food insecurity or community services
• Diverse perspectives that reflect the community we serve

Your expertise will help guide our strategic direction, ensure good governance, and strengthen our impact in the community.

What You Will Do

Board members play a key role in guiding the organization’s success. Key responsibilities include:

• Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and oversight of organizational performance.
• Attend and actively participate in bi-monthly board meetings and committee work
• Support fundraising efforts and community engagement activities.
• Advocate for our mission and values within the community.

Time Commitment

• Approximately 5-8 hours per month
• Board meetings held every other month
• Committee participation in alternate months
• Board term: 2 years
