About us:

Bruyère Health is Eastern Ontario’s leading health organization specializing in aging, rehabilitation, and complex care.

Our Board of Directors provides governance oversight of strategy, quality and safety, financial stewardship, and organizational performance during a pivotal period of redevelopment and system transformation.

We are particularly seeking senior leaders with expertise in:

• Finance and Accounting (CPA required)
• Health Human Resources (workforce strategy, labour relations, senior people leadership)

Time Commitment (Volunteer Role):

Board meetings are held the last Thursday of every other month (excluding December, July, and August) and last approximately 2–3 hours

• Directors serve on at least one committee, which meets 5–6 times per year (up to 2 hours per meeting)
• Occasional retreats and special meetings may be scheduled
• Directors serve a minimum two-year term

Candidates must reside in the National Capital Region and meet eligibility requirements under applicable governance legislation.
