Board of Director

Help shape the future of community arts in Etobicoke.

Arts Etobicoke is looking for new board members who are interested in contributing their experience, connections, and ideas to a long-standing community arts organization.

About Arts Etobicoke

For more than 50 years, Arts Etobicoke has connected people across Etobicoke through accessible, community-based arts programs and opportunities. We work with artists, residents, schools, community organizations, businesses, and neighbourhoods to bring the arts into everyday life.

At this time, we are particularly seeking people with:

  • Fundraising: Experience with fundraising strategies, campaigns, donor development, and sponsorship.
  • Finance: Experience in financial management, accounting, investment, budgeting, or related areas.
  • North Etobicoke connections: Strong connections to North Etobicoke and a deep-rooted understanding of its communities, residents, organizations, and local priorities.

We encourage disabled people to apply. We are committed to building a board that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve and value a range of professional, community, and lived experiences. We are looking for people who are passionate about the role arts and culture can play in building strong, connected communities.

What’s involved?

Arts Etobicoke has a governance board that provides leadership on the strategic direction of the organization. Board members are asked to attend 5–6 board meetings per year and attend 2 Arts Etobicoke events each year. The time commitment is approximately 1-2 hours per month.

Board members have the opportunity to increase their involvement by contributing to a committee or working group.

We are committed to building a board that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
