Key Responsibilities:
1. Website Design: Collaborate with our team to design and develop an engaging and user-friendly website that effectively communicates our organization's mission and initiatives.
2. Content Integration: Work closely with content creators to integrate multimedia content, such as images, videos, and interactive features, into the website to enhance the user experience.
3. Mobile Responsiveness: Ensure that the website is responsive and accessible across various devices and platforms to reach a broader audience.
4. User Experience (UX): Implement best practices in UX design to create an intuitive and efficient navigation experience for visitors to our website.
5. Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics, banners, and icons that align with our brand identity and mission.
6. Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain the website to ensure its functionality, security, and content accuracy.
7. SEO Optimization: Implement SEO strategies to improve our website's visibility and search engine rankings.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with web development tools and technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Portfolio showcasing previous work and/or website design projects.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) and e-commerce platforms (if applicable).
- Excellent graphic design skills and proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of SEO and website analytics tools.
- Passion for marine and coastal conservation and alignment with our organization's mission.
