Location: Toronto and the GTA
Positions: Full-time - some evening/weekend hours may be required /work-from-home hours
Salary Range: $57,000 to $61,000 per annum - based on experience
Reports to: Employment Services / Project Manager

PTP is seeking dynamic individuals to join our team as Job Developers to assist our clients to find and keep work they value. This role is key to creating pathways to possibilities for our clients. If you are someone who cares passionately about working with people experiencing barriers to employment and will go that extra mile to ensure the highest level of customer service, care and support for clients in their job search efforts, then this opportunity may be right for you!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Connect job seekers with employment opportunities by assessing skills and identifying suitable positions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to understand their hiring needs and create meaningful partnerships
  • Assist clients in targeting and preparing for appropriate employment opportunities
  • Deliver job-readiness workshops and provide one-on-one support for job search, interview preparation, and work placements
  • Coach, support, and monitor clients during work placements, offering job retention support for up to 12 months of employment
  • Conduct marketing and outreach activities to promote services, generate employer interest, and obtain job leads
  • Liaise with employers to develop and strengthen working relationships
  • Prepare and maintain accurate case notes, reports, and database entries
  • Collaborate with team members, community partners, and stakeholders to ensure services are aligned with clients' needs, abilities, and goals
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet program targets and outcomes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING:

SKILLS:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking, and facilitation skills
  • Sound judgment, critical-thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Autonomy, initiative and self-direction skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Strong organization, documentation and digital skills, with sharp attention to detail

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience (2+ years) in job development, job coaching, employer outreach, employment counselling, and/or recruitment
  • Experience working with individuals who face barriers to employment - such as low literacy/educational attainment, learning challenges/disabilities, and other barriers - is an asset

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Business Degree or equivalent, related College Diploma, or a combination of demonstrated skills and relevant experience

ON-SITE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for Job Developers who understand the value of being present—both with the team and out in the community. The role requires:

  • Daily on-site presence to collaborate directly with colleagues, engage in planning meetings, and help align efforts that lead to meaningful outcomes for our clients.
  • Regular in-person outreach to employers across the Greater Toronto Area. Building face-to-face relationships is a key part of ensuring strong employment opportunities and partnerships.
  • Flexibility to work both remotely and on-site as needed. While virtual tools play a role, we have seen firsthand that consistent in-person engagement fuels stronger collaboration and better job placement outcomes.

A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is a requirement.
