Job Purpose
As Intern, Events & Experiences at World Vision Canada, you’ll support the planning and execution of engaging events, activations and experiences that connect audiences to our mission, drive engagement, amplify the brand and further organizational goals.
In this hands-on role, you’ll work alongside the Events & Experiences team to coordinate logistics, collaborate across stakeholders and contribute to seamless end-to-end project delivery. This is an opportunity to build foundational skills in event planning, experiential marketing and project coordination while gaining exposure to large-scale events, brand activations and partner experiences.
Responsibilities
Event Coordination & Execution Support
Supports the delivery of events, activations and experiences through strong coordination and attention to detail.
- Assist in the planning and execution of events, brand activations and field experiences
- Support development of project plans, timelines, run-of-show documents and checklists
- Coordinate event logistics including materials, shipping, inventory and on site setup
- Support vendor coordination, including gathering quotes, tracking deliverables and preparing documentation
- Assist with onsite event execution, including setup, registration, guest experience and teardown
- Help troubleshoot day-of event needs and ensure a smooth participant experience
Operations & Administrative Support
Provides organizational and administrative support to enable efficient event delivery.
- Maintain trackers for project timelines, deliverables, budgets and inventory
- Support procurement processes including purchase orders, invoices and documentation
- Assist in organizing contracts, forms and event documentation
- Help manage and organize event supplies, materials and storage
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of team templates, SOPs and “How-To” guides
Marketing & Content Support
Contributes to event communications and content development to support audience engagement.
- Assist in drafting event communications including invitations, emails and participant updates
- Support creation and organization of event content (presentations, scripts, signage, etc.)
- Help ensure brand consistency across materials and touchpoints
Team Collaboration & Learning
Actively contributes to team culture while building foundational skills in events and experiential marketing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support event delivery
- Participate in team meetings, planning sessions and post-event debriefs
- Take initiative to learn tools, systems and processes used in event planning
- Contribute ideas and insights to improve event experiences and team processes
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in Events, Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working occasional evenings/weekends as required for events
- Interest in events, experiential marketing and/or non-profit work
Assets (Not Required):
- Previous internship, volunteer or campus event experience
- Familiarity with event tools, social media or content creation
- Experience working in team-based or customer-facing environments
