Location: Remote (main office based in Ontario) Job Status: 1-year contract, with possibility of extension Compensation: $50,000-$55,000 annually plus a comprehensive benefits package Deadline to apply: Friday, August 15, 2025 Anticipated Start: October 2025
The Opportunity As part of the team at the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF), the Individual & Community Giving Coordinator will support DWF’s mission by supporting initiatives related to individual giving, third-party fundraising, Walk for Wenjack, and other fundraising projects and events. You are looking for the opportunity to contribute your skills to building a better Canada through fundraising and stewardship, and you are passionate about moving reconciliation forward. Your interest in gaining experience working within a dynamic Development Team and for a national charity, coupled with your strong organizational and time management skills, will help you excel in this role. You also possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and have experience using Salesforce or an equivalent CRM. Additional Bene�its

Your Responsibilities
• Individual Giving
• Help develop and manage timelines for various annual giving fundraising activities and
projects to ensure strategic plans and critical fundraising processes are carried out on time.
• Support the development of annual fundraising appeals, donor communications,
and stewardship materials.
• Ensure timely distribution of development needs, such as issuing tax receipts,
donor communications, and stewardship.
• Ensure the donor database is maintained and current at all times.
Fundraising & Stewardship
• Assist in developing tailored reports to ensure a high level of donor cultivation,
solicitation, and stewardship.
• Support the regular review and updating of DWF and Development resources, including
the DWF website, Walk for Wenjack website, newsletter content, proposals, one-pagers,
etc.
• Support the administration and stewardship of third-party fundraisers and initiatives.
• Assist with DWF events locally (i.e., Development activities and tasks related to Secret
Path Week, Walk for Wenjack, Truth and Reconciliation Week, Indigenous History Month, etc.).

• Combination of lived experience and traditional knowledge, and university-level
education in fundraising, communications, business, social sciences, or related
education and experience.
• Discretionary skills to manage confidential information are required.
• High levels of accuracy, productivity, and initiative, as well as high attention to detail and
strong written and verbal communication skills, are required.
• Strong time management skills with an ability to plan, define measurable objectives and
outcomes, and meet timelines.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data fundraising software is strongly encouraged.
• Exceptional knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint, Internet, and general office equipment.
• Current Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening is required.
• Considered an asset: Working knowledge of an Indigenous language and/or French.
